This May 28th at Coral Shores High School Graduation 2026, the last of four Jones girls was responsible for bravely closing a remarkable 21-year educational journey that began with her eldest sister in 2005.

A Pivotal Moment at Coral Shores High School Graduation 2026
What started as homeschooling for the two eldest Jones girls blossomed under Ms. Carol Hilton’s Montessori program, thrived through the middle school years at Treasure Village Montessori with Kelly Astin and later Kelly Mangel, and found its final home at Coral Shores High School under Blake Fry and then Laura Lieterart.
As the Jones family celebrates this milestone, they reflect with pride on the unique paths each of their daughters has taken:
- The first Jones daughter is a PhD student in Earth & Environment. She has returned home to the Florida Keys and is preparing to continue her Marine Science PhD research and professional career here.
- The second Jones daughter is a former University of Florida Gator and a U.S. Naval Aviator.
- The third Jones daughter is a College of the Florida Keys (CFK) Project Access alumna now pursuing her next educational achievement.
- The fourth Jones daughter will head to the University of Florida in the fall as an NROTC midshipman, where she will pursue a degree in Psychology.
Her homecoming — and the strong futures of all four sisters — fulfills a heartfelt wish that countless Coral Shores graduates have heard over the years from their outstanding mathematics teacher, Mu Alpha Theta founder, founder of the school’s first Numeracy Week, and Monroe County GEM Award recipient for mathematics; Ms. Dianne Wischmeier: “Please come back to the Florida Keys.”
From Homeschool to Coral Shores High School Senior
On this graduation day, the Jones family says goodbye not with sadness, but with deep gratitude. Four daughters. Twenty-one years. A legacy of learning, community, and roots that run deep in these islands. No matter how far these Florida Keys kids fly, travel, or wander, they will always find a warm welcome home in this community. And now, with the eldest already back and building her future here, the circle feels wonderfully complete.
