I’m Nada Khalaf-Jones — writer, photographer, drone filmmaker, and a woman who has spent 27 years underwater watching the world above pretend certain stories don’t exist.

I grew up between cultures — Palestinian Lebanese German Italian. Something about that made me travel the world and study Humanities in a War Zone at University of Ulster. Soothing ocean becomes a balm after years of that struggle.

Nowadays my work lives at the intersection of the sea, the land, the sky, and the fight. I document agri-travel stories that connect food, land, and the people who tend both. I dive into underwater worlds that most people will never see. I fly drones over landscapes that are disappearing. And I tell stories about the overlooked — the communities, the ecosystems, the cultures being quietly erased.

I have four daughters who remind me every day why this work matters. One is pursuing her PhD in Earth Systems Sciences and Ecology, working to protect and understand world oceans and fisheries and the Florida Keys. Two went into the military and still the most impactful one is the un-usual, the uniquely abled. Her idiosyncratic life has taught us all how to handle constant frustrations and a perspective that can’t be explained easily.

I’ve lived in war zones and witnessed what it looks like when the truth is being hidden. I know what it means when a story doesn’t get told.

I’m here to tell the ones that do get told — for the Laila’s of the world, for the war torn, for the underserved, for the people who are great forces for change..for the next however many years, one frame at a time.
